Emergency Contraception

To utilize emergency contraception, you need to act quickly.

The "Morning-After Pill"

This link provides further information about emergency contraception-- what it is and how it works.  However, if you choose to utilize emergency contraception, it is vitally important that you do so ONLY under the supervision of a competent medical professional.  Don't just rely on a website when your health and well-being are at stake.  You are an individual- don't assume that what is safe for others is safe for you.  Seek personal medical advice BEFORE taking emergency contraception, since serious side-effects are possible.  Make the call to your physician or women's health clinic. Be sure you understand which medications are safe for you.

Finally, talk over your feelings with someone you trust--be sure you are comfortable with your decision before using emergency contraception.
